It is confined to a smaller section of society than other West African creoles, and is more stigmatized, perhaps due to the importance of Twi, an Akan dialect, often spoken as lingua franca. GhaPE is a regional variety of West African Pidgin English spoken in Ghana, predominantly in the southern capital, Accra, and surrounding towns. Ghanaian Pidgin English (GhaPE), is a Ghanaian English-lexifier pidgin also known as Pidgin, Broken English, and Kru English (kroo brofo in Akan).Because we will read the Bible in the native language of the householder, our message will be even clearer. The first Pidgin (West Africa)-speaking congregation was formed in 2015. Printed copies will be available later in 2023. Immediately following the release, digital copies of the Bible were made available for download. A total of 559,326 individuals in Nigeria viewed the virtual program, which was streamed to congregations. ![]() On February 12, 2023, Brother Jeffrey Winder, a member of the Governing Body, released the New World Translation of the Christian Greek Scriptures in the Pidgin (West Africa) and Urhobo languages.
